Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Commitment

Telecoms Technical Services Scotland Ltd (TTS) is committed to delivering high-quality telecoms engineering services in a manner that protects the health, safety and wellbeing of our workforce, our clients, the public and the environment. This commitment is led from Director level and embedded throughout the business through clear leadership, effective planning and competent delivery.

Continual improvement is embedded within our business and supported by a structured HSEQ management system proportionate to the risks associated with telecoms infrastructure works. Our arrangements are independently verified through SafeContractor accreditation, providing assurance that recognised industry standards are met.

Health

We provide a healthy working environment for all employees. Job-related health risks associated with telecoms engineering activities, including work at height, manual handling, noise and environmental conditions, are identified, assessed and controlled. Fitness for work and occupational health considerations are integrated into our planning and safe systems of work.

Environment

We are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations so far as is reasonably practicable. Environmental considerations are embedded into our planning and delivery processes, with a focus on waste reduction, pollution prevention and responsible use of resources. Compliance with applicable environmental legislation is a minimum standard.

Safety

The safety of our employees, clients and members of the public is our highest priority and is fundamental to the way we plan and deliver our works.

Telecoms engineering activities frequently involve work at height, roadside environments, live networks and close proximity to the public. We therefore place strong emphasis on proactive planning, competent supervision and effective risk control at every stage of our operations.

All works are properly planned and supported by suitable and sufficient risk assessments and method statements. Hazards are identified in advance and control measures implemented before work commences. We operate a clear expectation that unsafe acts or conditions are challenged immediately and no task is undertaken unless it can be completed safely and within the limits of our competence, training and equipment.

Safety performance is continually monitored through supervision, audits and review of incidents and near misses. Learning is shared across the business to prevent recurrence and drive continual improvement in safe working practices.

Quality

We are committed to understanding our clients' requirements and delivering telecoms services that consistently meet agreed specifications, regulatory obligations and programme expectations. Quality is embedded throughout our planning, delivery and review processes, with a focus on right-first-time delivery and continual improvement.
